An open clinical study was carried out in the Department of Dermatology, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, India, to screen the efficacy and safety of Himalaya's Baby Cream. This test was carried out on 20 babies.
Parents were asked to apply the cream over the face and body once a day for four weeks. These babies were examined prior to entry into the study and later at a fortnightly interval. The efficacy of the cream was assessed on the basis of smoothness and softness of the skin and the overall moisturizing effect.
At the end of the study, all 20 babies had significantly softer skin. No adverse effects were reported. The study concluded that Himalaya's Baby Cream is safe and efficacious.
