CAUSES/SYMPTOMS
Magnesia Muriatic is a chief remedy for characteristic constipation. It especially helps in the constipation of infants during dentition. The patient passes only a small quantity of stool which is knotty like sheep’s dung, crumbling at the verge of anus.
It also helps in painful smarting hemorrhoids.
Magnesia Muriatica is also useful in stomach problems. Appetite is very poor and there is bad taste in mouth.
Eructation’s are like rotten eggs, The patient cannot digest milk.
Magnesia Muriatica also helps in liver problems when there is pressing type of pain which is worse lying on right side.
Head
Magnesia Muriaticum is useful in complaint of Vertigo in morning, on rising, and during dinner, disappears in open air.
Heaviness in head, with a dizziness which causes falling down.
Sensation of numbness in forehead.
Magnesia Muriaticum is useful in Tearing and stitches in temples, with great sensitiveness of vertex, as if the hair were raised by pulling.
Eyes
Magnesia Muriaticum is useful in Inflammation and burning pain in eyes, with redness of sclerotica.
It is also helpful in Lachrymation and burning in eyes, when looking at anything in broad daylight.
Ears
Pulsation in ear.
Magnesia Muriaticum is useful in complaint of Dullness and hardness of hearing, as if something were placed before ear, Shootings, acute pullings, and boring in ears.
It also relieves Itching of herpes behind ears.
Teeth
It helps in Toothache, aggravated to highest degree by contact of food.
Painful swelling and easy bleeding of gums can be relieved by Magnesia Muriaticum.
Throat
Sensation, as if throat were excoriated and raw, worse in evening, and at night.
Hawking up of viscid and thick mucus from the throat, often mixed with blood and very tenacious.
It relieves Dryness and roughness of the throat with hoarse voice.
Stomach
Regurgitation of food, while walking.
It is useful in complaint of Violent hiccough during and after dinner, which causes pain in stomach.
Sensation as if a ball were ascending from abdomen into esophagus, better by eructations.
It also helps in Nausea, especially in morning, on first rising, frequent nausea with fainting, day and night.
Tension, and pain as from ulceration, and as from a bruise in stomach, with excessive sensitiveness to touch an be relieved by Magnesia Muriaticum.
Stool and Anus
It is indicated in Hard, difficult, slow, and insufficient evacuations.
Obstructions of bowels from induration of feces.
Burning and smarting in anus during and after stool is relieved by Magnesia Muriaticum.
Male Sexual Organs
Magnesia Muriaticum relieves Violent itching in genital organs and in scrotum, extending as far as the anus.
Pain in testicles (on touching or moving them) and cords (with swelling) after unrequited sexual excitement indicates Magnesia Muriaticum.
Nocturnal involuntary emissions, with or without dreams, scrotum relaxed and loose, often covered with sweat, constipation, indigestion, biliousness, itching at anus.
Female Sexual Organs
Menses too early and too copious. Black and coagulated blood during catamenia.
During menses: paleness of face, with pains in loins and depression, fainting, pain in left leg.
It relieves Cramps in uterus, sometimes with pains extending to thighs, and leucorrhea.
Leucorrhea, especially during movement, or preceded by cramps in abdomen.
Leucorrhea immediately after stool.
Respiratory Organs
Magnesia Muriaticum is indicated in Hoarseness, with roughness and dryness of throat. Hoarseness in the morning after rising.
Bloody expectoration brought on by sea-bathing.
Magnesia Muriaticum is useful in Dry cough, in evening, and at night, with burning pain and sensation of excoriation in chest.
Cramp-like cough at night, with violent tickling in throat.
Neck and Back
Magnesia Muriaticum relieves Pain as from bruises above and in small of back and both hips, with sensitiveness of the parts to touch.
It is useful in Shooting, tearing, and burning pains in the back.
Burning and bruised feeling between scapula.
Upper Limbs
Magnesia Muriaticum relieves Drawing and tearings in shoulder-joint, extending as far as arm and hand, worse by movement.
It is useful in Numbness of arms in the morning, on waking, or in the evening in bed.
Lower Limbs
Great lassitude in legs, even when seated.
Magnesia Muriaticum relieves Cramps in calves, at night.
Burning pain in soles, in the evening, is relieved by it.
Generalities
Magnesia Muriaticum is useful in relieving Boring or contractive cramp-like pains.
The sensation of uneasiness (soreness), and of painful weariness, in the whole body, with an acute sensibility to least noise.
General uneasiness in the evening in bed, as soon as she closes her eyes.
The majority of the symptoms present themselves when the patient is seated, or at night, and are generally better by movement.
Uneasiness in the evening in bed on closing the eyes.
Skin
Magnesia Muriaticum is useful in complaints of Tingling in different parts of the skin.
It is useful in Itching pimples, with burning pain after scratching, Pustular eruptions.
