Tenvir-AF Tablet is used in the treatment of HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.
Tenvir-AF Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Take it with food, as this increases the absorption of the medicine into the body. It is important to keep taking them until your doctor tells you it is safe to stop.
USES
Treat chronic hepatitis B virus infection [HBV] in adults with compensated liver disease
HOW IT WORKS
TENVIR AF 25MG stops the virus from multiplying and thus controls the infection. It works by interfering with the normal working of enzymes (in HIV reverse transcriptase; in hepatitis B DNA polymerase) that are essential for the viruses to reproduce themselves.

Pregnancy

Breast feeding
Tenvir-AF Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Tenvir-AF Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
Tenvir-AF Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tenvir-AF Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
Tenvir-AF Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tenvir-AF Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tenvir-AF Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
